Some things that are important to us:

  • Candidates who are entering their final year of school, and available at least 15 to 20 hours week during school.
  • Experience with OO programming, ideally in C# or a C based language.
  • Interest in developing web based systems.
    • Working with service oriented architecture (SOAP vs RESTful)
    • Understanding of MVC web applications – we use ASP.NET MVC, AngularJS and Bootstrap.
  • Interest working with relational and non-relational data, specifically we work with SQL Server and Elasticsearch.

Software Engineer – Cerner Integration

Location:  Madison, WI or remote

This role specializes in the area of our product that integrates with Cerner Millennium PowerChart and similar applications. The ideal candidate is passionate about building great software and driven to help deliver systems that solve real-world problems. At NDSC, your work is critical to the success of our company, and each team member is involved in the evolution and progress of our platform from making architecture and design decisions to exploring and implementing new technologies.

Some things that are important to us:

  • Interest in solving healthcare integration projects (EDI).
  • Experience in working with Cerner, specifically, familiarity with Millennium Order and Order Entry tables is ideal.
  • Experience with Discern Visual Developer and CCL.
  • Interest working with relational and non-relational data, SQL is a must, and bonus points for experience with SQL Server and Elasticsearch.
  • Previous experience working with Cerner Discern Rules.
  • Experience with OO programming in C#.
  • Familiar with web based systems, and interest or experience in building modern web solutions.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers
  • Work with customers to develop and manage their implementation plan and timeline

National Decision Support Company (NDSC) is currently seeking an individual to contribute to our content curation process. Help NDSC take nationally-recognized, evidence-based clinical decision support guidelines and make them actionable in the provider workflow. This includes working with medical specialty societies, such as American College of Radiology (ACR) and American College of Cardiology (ACC), physician leadership and NDSC customers during sales, implementation and post-live phases to ensure successful outcomes. You will work together with other teams across all areas of the company to achieve customer success. Your success will have a direct effect on healthcare organizations improving patient care.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a willingness and ability to work in a fluid, close-knit team environment, where tasks could be outside of the core function. This position will provide the successful candidate with personal development opportunities in a rapidly growing company.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with clinical content sources, including medical specialty societies such as the ACR and ACC.
  • Curate and maintain clinical content repositories
  • Design, plan and complete clinical content related projects
  • Create clinical content understanding data structures and workflows for quality delivery
  • Coordinate clinical content update and changes within overall product management
  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions to clinical content management processes
  • Work closely with other teams including product development, implementation and support to ensure customer needs are met

Minimum Qualifications:
